Lake Chad

Lake Chad (in French Lac Tchad) is a historically large, shallow lake in Africa, whose size has varied over the centuries. According to the United Nations (UN) it shrank as much as by 95 percent from about 1963 to 1998 and half sized.  Lake Chad is economically important, providing water to more than 20 million people living in the four countries that surround it (Chad, Cameroon, Niger, and Nigeria) on the edge of the Sahara Desert. 
 Say there, at futina Island 2m fish was caugth, but  in recent years water is reducing  completely beings no  fish days, sometimes. In this half income they must live, Additionally influx violently from Nigeria and Niger, It is said that it has put pressure on extra futina dwellers. As the cause of these river shore region irrigation project’s and is being addressed include population growth or warming climate change, clearly the cause is yet to be investigated.
チャド湖は、チャド湖水としてチャド、カメルーン、ニジェール、ナイジェリアなど、サハラ砂漠の端にある 4 つの国で囲む湖で生活は 2000 万人以上の人々に提供する経済的に大変重要なみずうみなのです。湖の真ん中にこれらの国々の国境がありましたが、近年水が減りフティナ島では2mの魚が捕れていたのに、最近は全く魚が捕れない日もあると言う。これでは収入は半分となり、おまけにナイジェリアやニジェールから流入が激しく、余計にフティナに住む人々を圧迫しているという。これらの原因としては河川湖岸域の灌漑事業(かんがいじぎょう)や人口増加あるいは温暖化気候変動などが取り上げられているが、はっきりとした原因は未だ調査されていない。
