Murray Cod

Murray Cod is a large Australian predatory freshwater fish of the Maccullochella genus and family the Percichthyidae, order Perciformes is found in Mary River the Murray-Darling river system in Australia. The Murray cod is the largest exclusively freshwater fish in Australia, and one of the largest in the world, sometimes they called greenfish and goodoo. Murray cod populations have declined severely since European colonisation of Australia due to a number of causes including overfishing, river regulation and habitat degradation and are now a listed threatened species.  Their back and flanks are usually yellowish-green to green, overlain with heavy darker green, but occasionally brown or black, mottling.
 Murray Cod was  found in Biwako which is biggest lake in Japan, at the Shiga Prefecture, It seems that discharge is mindless man released.  Ayu(Catfish)  fishes in biwa lake face to be endangered on the brink by exotic, Foreign fish catch and release is prohibited. Bluegill (Lepomis macrochirus) and Black Bass(Micropterus)  is famous as the fish ever became a big issue. Black Bass is a genus of freshwater fish in the sunfish family (family Centrarchidae) of the same order Perciformes.

マレーコッドは、オーストラリアの淡水魚で最大の大きさになる魚で、100kgを越すものあるという。この魚はスズキ目でマレー川を始め、サンシャインコーストやゴールドコーストのクィーンズランド州南部、シドニーがあるニューサウスウェールズ州、メルボルンがあるビクトリア州、そしてサウスオーストラリア州のアデレードまでの沿岸や内陸に生息しています。このマレーコッドが日本で一番大きな湖がある滋賀県の琵琶湖でも見つかり心ない人間が放流したと思われます。琵琶湖では鮎が外来魚によって絶滅にひんしているため、外来魚のキャッチ・アンド・リリースは禁止されています。今までに大きな問題となった魚としてはブルーギルブラックバスが有名です。
